A Dartmouth woman has filed a lawsuit against her insurance company after her long-term disability payments were abruptly stopped.
The woman had a double-knee replacement surgery and was unable to continue at her job at Costco. She took a break from her cashier position in 2008 because of her knee replacement surgery, arthritis in her left hand and a future hip replacement surgery that was scheduled.
The long-term disability benefits provided to the woman were terminated as of October 13, 2011. She is seeking an amount upwards of $100,000.
